My dad was killed in WWII before I was born and my mother never remarried. UNICEF estimates the number of orphans at approximately 210 million. 800,000 pass through Americas foster care system each year. 87.6 million are in Asia, 43.4 million are in Sub Saharan Africa, 12.4 million are in Latin America and the Caribbean, 1.5 Million are in Central and Eastern Europe. 17.5 million are 0-5 years old, 47 million are 6-11 years old, and 79 million are 12-17 years old. 2-5% of refuges worldwide are kids living without parents. Wars orphaned or separated 1 million children from their families in the 1990’s. A place where they receive encouragement and affirmation.ġ6 million children were newly orphaned in 2003. A place where they receive a purpose and destiny in their lives. Millions of children today are feeling they do not have a place of security, protection, comfort, and identity. Not only is this true in the United States but it is also occurring through out the world. More children than ever are in fatherless homes or those that have physically present biological fathers are without a father emotionally. Today more and more children are growing up feeling fatherlessness. Even children who have absentee fathers for whatever reason can be affected by the same characteristics of an orphan heart.

The number of fatherless homes continues to increase from generation to generation. However, every fatherless orphan, whether male or female, may feel the same orphan spirit, orphan heart. This created an orphan heart/spirit/spiritual orphan circumstance that changed future generations. World War II caused a paradigm shift in the spiritual culture of the world due to the lack of a father’s influence in the home caused due to the deaths of soldiers. For them, this was the consequence of war. Some orphans have felt characteristics of an orphan spirit that encompasses a deep dark black empty hole of missing pieces in our lives. Therefore, the possible number of forgotten fatherless orphans that has occurred in the world from these wars is astounding. Thousands more were slaughtered in the trench warfare of World War I. #Orphan spirit how to
They may have house parents in the facility but no child calls them Mommy and Daddy, because they’re not their real parents.Ī Spiritual Orphan~ Someone who feels alone, trying to get their needs met the best way they can, not knowing how to receive the love and care of their Heavenly Father.I am an American World War II Orphan born in June of 1945. Let’s jump into some definitions.Īn Orphan~ A child whose parents are dead and who is without care protection.Īn Orphanage~ A residential place where orphans live. They battled orphan-like feelings just like we do when we feel like Jesus isn’t there to take care of us, whenever we feel like He’s distant. What would they do now? Who were they without Jesus? How would they care for themselves without the spiritual power to do the miraculous when necessary? They did not know, until this promise, that He would come to them in another form and put that same kingdom power within them. The thought of life without Him must have stirred up a panic inside their group. He rebuked the demonic and gave the dark spiritual world orders and parameters. They had learned to depend on Him for everything. They were His friends so why refer to them as orphans? The older I get, I don’t believe they were confused. I’ve often wondered if these words, spoken by Jesus to His disciples, confused them.
